DigitalRoute Joins TM Forum Dynamic Pricing Solutions for Data Center Digital Services Catalyst

by Keith Brody 25/05/15 14:18

DigitalRoute has announced its participation in the TM Forum’s Dynamic Pricing Solutions for Data Center Digital Services Catalyst. The Catalyst will demonstrate how the value of NFV and SDN technologies is centered on the ability to fully automate service creation, network and system functions. It will show how the use of a catalog-driven approach shifts customer demand and price based on the utilization and other key quality and usage metrics in a given NFV/SDN data center.

Commenting on the Catalyst, "CSPs need to understand and leverage the full breadth of opportunities that the coming SDN/NFV world affords them. The Reactive Data Center Catalyst clearly demonstrates how smart data processing can be used to drive dynamic pricing in a virtualized environment," said Thomas Brännström, Senior Commercial Product Manager, DigitalRoute.

The proof-of-concept initiative is sponsored by Verizon and includes a number of expert participants. In addition to DigitalRoute, the collaboration involves Sigma Systems and Microsoft. It will show that data center KPI’s can be used to alter the products presented in a product catalog.

Statistics from the Data Center are interpreted and pushed into the catalog with items being promoted and/or having discounts applied based on the desire-to-consume under-utilised resources. Cross-sell, upsell and add-on options can also be added to reflect data center information.

The Catalyst will be demonstrated live in Forumville at TM Forum's Management World 2015, taking place June 2-3, in Nice, France.

Bridging Usage and KPI Management from DigitalRoute with the customer intelligence of Sigma Catalog will help providers like Verizon build innovative new offerings directly within Microsoft Dynamics or Sigma Configure Price Quote (CPQ). Using the Catalog V2 API and the architecture of the DSRA, this Catalyst will transform today’s CPQ experience, giving providers the ability to price, package and promote new offers directly at the point-of-purchase.

More specifically, the Reactive Data Center Catalyst will demonstrate how utilization of various NFV/SDN fabrics across numerous data centers can:

  • play a critical part in driving price and promotion;
  • increase demand in underutilized facilities; and
  • maximize margin in locations that are approaching the need for additional build-out.

Today’s digital providers are looking for an architecture that will master the challenges of today while innovating the technologies of tomorrow. Join us to explore how NFV and SDN are transforming all aspects of how providers approach products and services.

About DigitalRoute

DigitalRoute has been providing new approaches to data integration and management since 1999. Its technology offers high throughput and provides a unique degree of user configurability, processing all usage and statistical data extracted from the networks, including both billable and non-billable events. This means customers gain greater cost efficiencies, improved times-to-market for new service offerings, the ability to monetize any data, and the means to enhance end-customer satisfaction. DigitalRoute makes network events available to the right systems in the right formats in the most appropriate volumes at the required times, without losing a single bit. This is the foundation from which multiple, mission-critical use-cases can be addressed in the areas of Billing Mediation, OSS Mediation, Online Control and Enterprise Data Processing.

Over 350 leading companies worldwide use DigitalRoute technology to meet their data management needs, including a number of OEM partners who use our technology as a central part of their own offerings. DigitalRoute is built on the core values of Expertise, Open-Mindedness and Commitment. With close to 200 employees, the company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden with regional offices in Gothenburg, Atlanta and Kuala Lumpur.
