DigitalRoute, the leading provider of mediation solutions globally, today announced the release of its MediationZone 7.1 software. 7.1 delivers enhanced performance across the product and adds new functionality that accelerates the company’s industry leadership position in communications software. It is the first of two major MediationZone releases this year.

Noted Johan Bergh, CEO, DigitalRoute, “Version 7.1 is an important release that demonstrates how MediationZone is constantly updated to meet the changing needs of both the Service Provider market generally and the key requirements of our existing customer base specifically.”

Version 7.1’s enhanced platform performance cements MediationZone’s reputation as the leading product on the market.

Key aspects of the updated solution in this area include:

  • The introduction of support for Apache Kafka, a best-in-class high throughput open source message broker technology for enhanced data ingestion and improved internal data management with MediationZone. This enables more efficient distribution of workloads in real-time scenarios, benefiting users through improved performance.

  • Enhancements in system management which make it easier for MediationZone customers to manage both system users and large scale configurations. This helps platforms administrators to optimize the execution planning and scheduling as well as improving performance through better load balancing.

Functionality enhancements see additions within MediationZone’s Online Control product suite that includes Policy Control, Routing Control and Service Control. These include:

  • Enhanced user interfaces making the product easier and more intuitive to run.
  • New features within DigitalRoute’s Diameter stack.
  • A reduction in manual configuration requirements that shorten times-to-market and improve system availability.

Concluded Johan Bergh: “Communications Service Providers face challenging times.  Only last week at Mobile World Congress we saw an industry trying to work out how to manage more data, how to better satisfy its customers, and how to bring new, real-time services to market quickly and cost effectively.  In all these critical competitive areas, MediationZone 7.1 is able to deliver answers to the questions that CSPs are now asking.”
